See for yourself.
This is the same idea that Wicher have it, but instead of registration dates, it's regarding post dates.

Beware of the phpbbhacks.com file, because it's not updated (if you try to install, it will not work and give you a SQL error after that). I have the updated file (2006 instead of 2002) right here. Download and replace:
http://www.erdrron.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8&start=15
(See the last post of this thread).
The problem regarding this hack is that phpBB does not consider dates when you tried to order threads on the first page of each forum.
That means a thread where the last message was placed on 2005 (modified by this hack) might be listed on the top and a thread where the last message was placed 5 minutes ago might be listed on the bottom of the page!
When you create a thread, each thread will have this kind of URL:
http://www.wichersmods.nl/phpBB2/t=201
And each post will have this ID:
http://www.wichersmods.nl/phpBB2/p=4
http://www.wichersmods.nl/phpBB2/p=5
This is what I was going to ask you, Wicher, and the creator of that MOD (when I get to enter his board). Is there a way to make phpBB disregard these IDs? Perhaps something can be done.
Because, you know, Wicher's hack is capable of change the order of registration dates, but EDDron's is doing that by half.
Otherwise, this hack will not be so much useful, the way it should be. |
